2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 498A, 494 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

3. The prosecution case is based upon an FIR lodged by the opposite party no. 2 in which she has made an allegation of demand of dowry and torture. Petitioner is the husband of opposite party no.2.

4. The matter was earlier referred to the Patna High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre for resolution of disputes and it would appear from the mediator's report that the parties have amicably settled the disputes vide an agreement dated 24.01.2025 passed in Mediation Proceeding No. 1874 of 2024. It had been agreed between the parties that an amount of Rs. 3,00,000/-

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.78879 of 2024(6) dt.15-05-2025 2/2 would be paid to the opposite party no. 2 by way of bank draft and the same has been done which is accepted by the counsels appearing on the side of the petitioner and opposite party no. 2.

In such view of the matter, let the above named petitioner, be released on bail, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of four weeks from today, on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned court below where the case is pending/successor court in connection with Bodh Gaya P.S. Case No. 72 of 2023, subject to the condition as laid down under Section 438 (2) of the Cr.P.C./482(2) of the B.N.S.S., and subject to the further condition that the petitioner shall cooperate in the investigation/trial.

6. In view of the fact that the parties have entered into one time settlement and the payment has been made, it is expected that both the parties would strictly adhere to the terms and conditions as agreed between them in the agreement. (Soni Shrivastava, J) devendra/- U T
