That this is an application praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ/order/direction upon the respondent authorities for quashing the appointment, dated 08.02.2022, of private respondent no.

4, published against employment notice dated 01.12.2021 for recruitment on the post of Guard (Male) on contract basis in the District Child Protection Unit, Jamui, Social Welfare Department, Government of Bihar, because the private respondent no. 4 is ineligible as he is not holding experience certificate of Guard as prescribed in the

Patna High Court CWJC No.17834 of 2022(2) dt.23-04-2024 2/2 advertisement.

The petitioner further prays for issuance of direction in the name of respondents to appoint the petitioner on the post of guard in place of private respondent no. 4.

The petitioner further prays for commanding the respondents to, after revision of the result/merit list, to ensure that the vacancies arising out to be filled up at earliest in favor of petitioner."

After some arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the respondent-authorities for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

The writ petition stands dismissed as not pressed.
