BAJANTHRI) 12-10-2023 The present MJC- contempt petition is filed for non compliance of the order dated 14.09.2022 read with the grievance of the petitioner. Grievance of the petitioner is that he had executed certain works as a contractor and he is entitled to certain outstanding amount of Rs. 21,67,056/-. This amount was recommended by the District Agriculture Officer, Saran,

Patna High Court MJC No.2544 of 2022(4) dt.12-10-2023 2/2 Chapra. The concerned officer has forwarded favorably the request for release of amount to higher authorities. Higher authorities have not taken any decision, hence, CWJC No. 13024 of 2022 was filed. The concerned authority was directed to examine the grievance of the petitioner. The same was not concluded and it has resulted in filing the present MJC. During pendency of the present MJC- contempt petition the official respondents have filed show cause and they have also passed certain orders which are not favorable to the petitioner. In other words, whatever the recommendation made by the District Agriculture Officer, Saran, Chapra to the extent of Rs. 21,67,056/- was not acceptable to the higher authorities to that effect an adverse order has been passed. Therefore, the proceeding of present MJC- contempt petition stands dropped reserving liberty to the petitioner to invoke appropriate remedy, if he is disputing the rejection of his claim by the higher authorities.
