Petitioner seeks bail in Naugachia P.S. Case No.187 of 2018 instituted for the offence under Section(s) 379, 411, 414 Indian Penal Code pending in the Court of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, II, Naugachia, Bhagalpur.

It is alleged in the written report that informant had withdrawn rupees six thousand from ATM. This petitioner snatched the aforesaid amount and started running away. The informant raised halla and chased him. The petitioner was apprehended with the help of others and stolen rupees six thousand was recovered from his possession. It is further alleged

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.55485 of 2018 (3) dt.05-10-2018 2/2 that Rs.4900/-, Aadhar Card, two ATM Cards and one Debit Card were also recovered from the possession of the petitioner. The petitioner confessed his guilt before the public. The police arrived and, thereafter, production-cum-seizure list was prepared. From para 3 of the bail petition, it appears that petitioner has criminal antecedents.

In such circumstances, this Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail.

Prayer of the petitioner for grant of bail is rejected at this stage.

Liberty is given to the petitioner to renew the prayer for bail after six months, if no substantial progress is made in the trial.
