Without going into merits or demerits of the case, having regard to the fact that the petitioner is having a statutory remedy of filing appeal before the appellate authority under Section 60 of the Bihar and Orissa Public Demands Recovery Act, 1914, This Court is not inclined to entertain the present writ petition. The present writ petition is disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner for availing the statutory remedy of appeal under Section 60 of the Bihar and Orissa Public Demands Recovery Act, 1914 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On such appeal being filed, the

Patna High Court CWJC No.15710 of 2023(2) dt.20-06-2024 2/2 appellate authority shall entertain the same and pass necessary orders strictly in accordance with law. The appellate authority shall endeavor to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of 12 weeks thereof.

3. With the above direction, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
