The petitioner apprehends his arrest in CBI/ACB case No. RC0232015A0001/2015, R.C. case No. 1(A)/2015 for the offences punishable under Section 120B, 420, 467,468 of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 13(2)/13(i) (d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

The petitioner is alleged to have submitted fake educational certificates on the basis of which he was selected. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that similarly situated accused persons, namely, Chandra Bhushan Prasad, Pramod Kumar, Shobha Sinha, Ranjana Kumari and many others have already been granted anticipatory bail and the case of petitioner stands on similar footing.

No.63363 of 2017 (2) dt.16-01-2018 2/2 The learned counsel for the CBI did not dispute the facts that similarly situated accused persons have already been granted anticipatory bail by different benches of this court. Considering the facts aforesaid and the nature of allegation made against the petitioner, the petitioner above named in the event of his arrest or surrender before the learned court below within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt/ production of a copy of this order is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, CBI, Patna in connection with CBI/ACB case No. RC0232015A0001/2015, R.C. case No. 1(A)/2015, subject to conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
