The present writ petition has been filed for a direction to the concerned authority i.e. Respondent Nos. 2 and 3 to take decision in the matter of compassionate appointment of the petitioner which is pending for consideration before the competent authority and as such the authority concerned may be directed to take decision in the case of the petitioner at earliest date.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had filed an application for grant of PDS licence on compassionate ground on the death of his father but the same remains

4. Having regard to the nature of the grievance of the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the licencing authority namely the Sub-Divisional Officer (West) Muzaffarpur (respondent no. 4) to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application for grant of PDS licence in accordance with law, if the same still be pending before him, expeditiously and in any event preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this judgment.
