2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Saharghat P.S. Case No. 40/2023 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 395 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3⁄4 of the Explosive Act. The petitioner is in custody since 21.07.2023.

3. The petitioner is named accused in a case of dacoity. He has criminal antecedents also.

4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail.

5. Considering the facts that the petitioner is a named accused and is alleged to have committed dacoity, I am not in-

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.75086 of 2023(3) dt.27-02-2024 2/2 clined to grant him bail for the present. This application is dismissed.

6. The trial Court is directed to expedite the trial. If there is no progress in the trial then the petitioner may renew his prayer for bail.
