Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned AC

The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the instant writ application has been filed seeking quashing of the notification contained in Memo No. B/2208 dated 22-8-2024 issued by the Registrar, Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar, Bihar University, Muzaffarpur, whereby an illegal report has been submitted by the Committee on 22-7-2024, ignoring the earlier report submitted by the Committee on 1-112023 and 3-11-2023 constituted by the Vice-chancellor. 3.
The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in sum and substance the case of the petitioner is that the Committee constituted by the Vice-chancellor of the University had submitted report dated 1-11-2023 and 3-11-2023, wherein it was recorded that the petitioner is the senior-most lecturer of the College and the report also recorded that the Respondent No. 8 is not entitled to be In-Charge Professor of the College but in teeth of the report submitted by the Committee constituted by the Vice-chancellor, the Respondent No. 8 has been made the Professor In-charge of the College in question, ignoring the seniority of the petitioner, in view of the managed report dated 22-8-2024. The learned counsel next submits that one can well understand the plight of the petitioner that petitioner despite being senior is made to work

The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the University, Shri Bindhyachal Rai, submits that he has sought oral instruction from the Vice-chancellor of the University and the Vice-chancellor has orally instructed to make submission that both the petitioner and the Respondent No. 8 have been called with their relevant documents for resolving the dispute. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the University submits that the dispute would be resolved within a period of six weeks' from today.

After hearing the learned counsel for the parties, the writ application is disposed of with a direction to the Vicechancellor of the University to get the dispute resolved by an authority competent within a period of 8 weeks' from today. (Satyavrat Verma, J) SUMIT/- U
