The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Muffasil P.S. case No. 293 of 2023 instituted for the offences under Sections 341, 323, 307, 498(A), 504, 506/34 of the Indian Penal Code.
As per prosecution case, the petitioner along with his family members have been repeatedly demanding dowry from the Informant. When the demand was not fulfilled, the accused persons abused and brutally assaulted the Informant, her father and her nephew at their home.
The petitioner is the husband of the Informant. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the

He further submits that there is no specific allegation of serious assault against the petitioner rather the allegation is made on other accused persons namely Sachin Kumar, Ajit Kumar and Satrudan Mehta. He further submits that the petitioner is a man of unsound mind. The petitioner is languishing in judicial custody since 19.08.2023. Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner. Considering the entire facts and circumstances of the case and taking into account the period of custody, let the petitioner, abovenamed, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Court below/concerned Court in connection with Muffasil P.S. case No. 293 of 2023.
