1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State.

2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Angar Ghat P.S. Case No. 124 of 2022 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 395, 397, 307, 412 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code read with Section 27 of the Arms Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has antecedent of two cases and the informant alleges that he was intercepted by three motorcycle borne criminals who looted Rs. 69,500/- along with gold locket, further on alarm the villagers chased the miscreants and Satyam and Raja Kumar were apprehended who revealed the name of seven accused persons who were involved in the occurrence and it was also

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the name of the petitioner transpired in the statement of apprehended accused. It is also submitted that petitioner is in custody since 23.06.2023. It is next submitted that charge sheet has been submitted and charges have been framed in the month of September-October, 2024, but then till date not a single witness has been examined.

Learned A.P.P. for the State opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioner and submits that petitioner has antecedent of two cases and in the event if bail is granted to the petitioner, the petitioner may abscond, on which the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner will not abscond rather his mother who has sworn the affidavit will stand surety.

The Court was inclined to accept the submission of the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, but then it was pointed out by the learned APP that from perusal of the description of the petitioner as given in the cause title, it would manifest that petitioner is aged about 24 years whereas the person who has sworn the affidavit, disclosing her relation with the petitioner as her mother, is aged only 38 years which

7. After hearing the learned APP for the State, the Court is not inclined to release the petitioner on bail.

8. Accordingly, the instant regular bail application stands rejected.
