JUSTICE ASHWANI KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 17-06-2020 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State via video conferencing. The petitioner has filed the present application for grant of pre-arrest bail in connection with Saraiya (Jaitpur) P.S. Case No. 558 of 2018 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 395 and 397 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the fact that the name of the petitioner transpired during investigation and the police may require his custodial interrogation and placing on test identification parade, I am not inclined to grant pre-arrest bail.
