The petitioners, who are in custody since 04.09.2019 and are persons of clean antecedent, seek bail in connection with Case No. C2/558/19 instituted for the offence under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

216 litres of Nepali liquor is said to have been recovered from the possession of the petitioners. It has been submitted that the recovery is only a paper work and only because these persons were apprehended while crossing the border, they have been saddled with the aforesaid allegation.

No.70021 of 2019(2) dt.11-12-2019 2/2 Considering the period of custody of the petitioners and there being persons of clean antecedent, they are directed to be released on bail on their furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Sessions Judge-II-cum-Special Judge, Excise Act, Sitamarhi in connection with Case No. C2/558/19.
