The present writ petition has been filed on behalf of the petitioner seeking the following relief(s): (i) For issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the State Level Committee for WoodBased Industries to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 25.07.2025 (Annexure-P-4) filed by the petitioner to grant approval to the Licensing Officer for transfer of license on the basis of Sale in favour of the petitioner in terms of Section 11(1) of the Bihar Wood-Based Industries (Establishment and Regulation) Act, 2025;

(ii) For issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent authorities not to interfere with the operation of saw mill till such time the matter is finally decided by the

Patna High Court CWJC No.18719 of 2025(3) dt.02-12-2025 2/2 State Level Committee for Wood-Based Industries, Bihar, Patna in the facts and circumstances of the case.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he shall be satisfied if an order for disposal of the representation dated 25.07.2025 (Annexure-P-4) filed by the petitioner is passed by this Court, which is pending before the State Level Committee for Wood-Based Industries, Bihar, Patna (Respondent No. 2).

4. In view of the above, the Respondent No. 2 is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 25.07.2025 which is annexed as Annexure-P-4 of this writ application within four weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order by a reasoned order after hearing the petitioner.

5. With the aforesaid direction, this application is disposed of.

6. It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the case and the direction for disposal of the representation doesn't mean that the authorities will grant relief to the petitioner.
