2. The petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for offences punishable under Sections 140(2), 61(2), and 103(1) of the B.N.S., 2023.
3. As per the prosecution case, the informant alleged that on 10.05.2025, accused Shubham Kumar came and took the son of the informant to return his money. Later, accused Shubham Kumar demanded Rs. 2 lakhs and threatened to kill the son of the informant if the amount was not paid.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is named in the F.I.R. During investigation, it has emerged that, on the instruction of the petitioner, the son of the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.72782 of 2025(3) dt.01-12-2025 2/2 informant was killed by other co-accused persons. The petitioner is a lady, is in custody since 12.08.2025 and the charge-sheet has been submitted in this case.
5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner.
6. Considering the nature of the accusation and the period of custody, the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner is allowed.
7. Accordingly, let the above-named petitioner be released on bail on furnishing a bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of the learned C.J.M., Motihari, East Champaran, in connection with Chakiya P.S.
