Petitioners apprehend their arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498A/34 and other allied sections of the Indian Penal Code and under sections 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

It is alleged that on account of non-fulfilment of dowry demand, on the order of petitioner no.1, victim's husband assaulted the victim with knife causing knife injury on her abdomen.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that at best petitioner no.1 can be said to be an order giver. Moreover, petitioners live separately and they have no concern

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.67023 of 2019(3) dt.05-03-2020 2/2 with the affairs of the victim and her husband and the main allegation is against victim's husband. Even, they are ready to keep the victim with dignity.

Considering the facts of the case, let the petitioners, above named, in the event of surrender before the Court below within six weeks from today, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Begusarai in Bakhari Police Station Case No. 210/2019, subject to the conditions laid down under section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
