JUSTICE RAVI RANJAN) Date: 10-10-2018 Taking suo motu cognizance of the news item which appeared in "Dainik Bhaskar," a daily news paper on 05.07.2018 regarding certain incidents pertaining to a proceeding pending in the Court of 1st Civil Judge, Senior Division, Jehanabad the instant proceedings had been initiated This Court being of the prima facie opinion that the manner in which the news item was reported, amounted to scandalize the issue unnecessarily. Accordingly, the instant original criminal
Patna High Court OCR. MISC (DB) No.1 of 2018 dt.10-10-2018 2/2 miscellaneous application was instituted.
The respondents have appeared in the matter. They have filed a show cause expressing due apology. They have sincerely submitted that the issue was reported after due permission from the Judge of the Civil Court, concerned in the matter and that they had no intention to Malign, derogate or in any manner scandalize the issue. They have also filed a supplementary affidavit wherein they have stated that in future they would be cautious so that reporting is responsible and that the same does not leave any scope for the same being used so as to scandalize or derogate the institution. The show cause filed on behalf of the opposite parties are accepted. In view of their sincere apology and their undertaking regarding adequate care in future, no further orders need to be passed in the instant proceedings.
The contempt proceedings are dropped.
