Petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Chowk P.S. Case No.188 of 2023, registered for the offence punishable u/s 387 of the IPC.

Allegation against the petitioner is that he demanded ransom money from the informant on the point of country made pistol and all the accused persons threatened her. 4.
It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner is quite innocent and has not committed any offence. He has been falsely implicated in this case due to ulterior motive. No such occurrence in the manner as alleged has ever taken place. There is no specific overt act against the petitioner. He neither demanded any extortion money nor threatened the

Learned APP for the State opposed the prayer for bail by submitting that there is allegation against the petitioner in the F.I.R.

Considering the nature of offence and the criminal antecedent of the petitioner, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. The prayer for grant of anticipatory bail on his behalf is hereby rejected.

This application is accordingly dismissed.
