Petitioners seek regular bail in connection with Dumra P.S. Case No.342 of 2019, for the offence punishable under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition & Excise Act, 2016.

The allegation against the petitioners is that police intercepted a motorcycle and upon search being made, police recovered a total quantity of 15.225 litres of illicit English liquor from the said motorcycle and arrested the petitioners and others.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the

Learned counsel further submits that motorcycle, which was intercepted by the police, does not belong to the petitioners. Learned counsel also submits that the petitioners have got no criminal antecedent and they are in custody since 05.09.2019. Having regard to the submissions made by the parties and taking into consideration the fact that petitioners have got no criminal antecedent and they are in custody since 05.09.2019, I am inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioners. Accordingly, let the petitioners, above named, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (twenty thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned A.D.J.-II-cum-Special Judge, Excise Act, Sitamarhi, in connection with Dumra P.S.
