The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Complaint Case No. 2227 of 2017 registered for offence punishable under sections 323, 498A and 387 of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner is the husband of Nidhi Kumari, the complainant, who alleged that her husband and his family members tortured her for non-fulfillment of dowry demand. For amicable settlement of the dispute, notice was

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.71366 of 2019(7) dt.05-01-2022 2/2 sent to the complainant which was received by her father, but none appeared on her behalf. A petition for jointness supported on affidavit has also been filed, which is at flag 'J', wherein it has been averred that Nidhi Kumari is residing with her father. The effort for amicable settlement had been taken up, but the complainant did not appear despite notice.

Considering the above mentioned facts and circumstances, the petitioner above named, in the event of his arrest or surrender, within four weeks from today, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-V, Samastipur in connection with Complaint Case No. 2227 of 2017, subject to condition as laid down under section 438(2) Cr.
