2. In the present case, the petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Banka P.S. Case No. 350 of 2023, registered on 23.05.2023 for the offences under Sections 406, 420, 120B of the Indian Penal Code.

3. As per prosecution case, the allegation against the petitioner is that he took Rs. Five lakhs from the informant for procuring job for him as a Class IV employee in District Collectorate, Banka. It is further alleged that in similar manner the petitioner has defrauded other persons after taking money from them.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that

No.76686 of 2023(3) dt.05-03-2024 2/2 the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case and he is a social worker, who has been trying to uplift the poor children. The petitioner has got some award and felicitation for his work from the government. He has not committed any illegal act and has been falsely implicated in this case due to dirty politics at the instance of his enemy. The petitioner has got no criminal antecedent.

5. Learned APP as well as learned counsel appearing on behalf of the informant vehemently oppose the submission made on behalf of the petitioner. Learned counsel for the informant submits that the informant has transferred the money through accounts and also in cash by arranging the same from different sources.

6. Having regard to the facts and circumstances and submissions made on behalf of the parties and considering the nature of allegation which appears to be quite serious, I do not think it a fit case for grant of anticipatory bail and accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.
