Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 387 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.

The FIR relates to an occurrence of demand of ransom on mobile call.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the said mobile is not of the petitioner. The petitioner is accused in some other cases disclosed in para 3 of the petition. However, in none of the case, the petitioner is named accused. Only on confessional statement before the police, the petitioner has been roped in this case.

Considering the fact that there is no substantial material against the petitioner, hence, there is no reason to detain

No.10832 of 2018 (2) dt.27-02-2018 2/2 the petitioner as under trial prisoner, hence, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Court below where the case is pending in connection with Chhatauni Police Station Case No. 212 of 2017, subject to the condition that the petitioner shall fully cooperate with the investigation and trial of the case, failing which the court below shall be at liberty to cancel the bail bond of the petitioner.
