Earlier prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected by this Court vide order dated 8.5.2017 passed in 20668 of 2017 with liberty to the petitioner to renew his prayer for bail, if the trial is not concluded within a period of seven months. Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that period of seven months has already expired and the trial has not been concluded. He further submits that the petitioner is in custody since 2.7.2016 and except confessional statement of coaccused there is nothing against the petitioner. Heard the learned A.P.P. also.

Perused the report. From perusal of the report it appears that the trial court undertakes to conclude the trial within three

In such view of the matter application is disposed of with a direction to the trial court to conclude the trial within three months from the date of a receipt/production of a copy of this order. if the trial is not concluded within three months, the petitioner may renew his prayer for bail.

It is needless to say that if trial is concluded, part of the above order will have no effect.
