Petitioner has prayed for the following relief(s):- "1. That the instant writ petition has been brought by the petitioner for issuance of appropriate writ/direction to the respondents directing them to pay Rs. 51,95,785/- of current A/C of late Krishna Prasad

Patna High Court CWJC No.22596 of 2019 dt.02-01-2023 2/3 with interest to his wife namely Malti Gupta which is retained knowingly, deliberately and illegally since 2017 at State Bank of India Exhibition Road Branch, Patna-800001."

In view of the response filed by the respondent Bank, and more so averments made in paragraph nos. 8 and 9 that the petitioner has not completed the formalities as are statutorily required to be complied with for substitution of the name as also release of the amount in favour of the legal heirs of the deceased account holder, learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner shall make himself available in the office of respondent no.6, namely, Branch Manager, State Bank of India, Exhibition Road Branch, Patna-800001.

Learned counsel for the respondent Bank states that with the petitioner completing all the formalities, of which he shall be appraised of, decision shall positively be taken on the petitioner's request within a period of one week and amount found due and payable along with interest, if any, shall be remitted directly into the petitioner's bank account.
