Petitioners apprehend their arrest in connection with Complaint Case No.691 of 2020, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 342, 323, 379, 498(A), 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code as well as under Sections 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

The petitioners, who are mother-in-law and father-inlaw of O.P. No.2, alongwith other in-laws are said to have tortured O.P. No.2 physically and mentally for non-fulfillment of demand of additional dowry.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.1090 of 2023(3) dt.19-05-2023 2/2 Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners are innocent and have falsely been implicated in the present case. The petitioners have got no criminal antecedent as stated in paragraph-3 of the bail petition. It is further submitted that there is general and omnibus allegation against the petitioners. It is also submitted that petitioners are mother-inlaw and father-in-law of O.P. No.2. Considering the fact that there is general and omnibus allegation against the petitioners, let petitioners, above named, in the event of their arrest or surrender before the learned court below within a period of six weeks from today, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.25,000/- (rupees twenty five thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned 1st Class Judicial Magistrate-III, Saharsa in connection with Complaint Case No.691 of 2020, subject to the conditions laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
