The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Bela P.S. Case No. 42 of 2023 instituted for the offence under Sections 420, 467, 504, 506 and 120(B)/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The prosecution case as stated by the informant is that cheque to the tune of Rs. 50,000/- was issued in favour of the informant for purchase of tractor, which was dishonoured due to mismatch of signature.

It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner is in custody since 14-06-2023, and have no criminal antecedents.

Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case due to dirty local politics. The dispute is predominantly civil in nature. In fact, wife of the petitioner has filed a complaint case against the informant of this case alleging cheating. 6.

Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner. 7.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, dispute which is predominantly civil in nature and period of custody of the petitioner, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Let the petitioner be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Court below/concerned Court in connection with Bela P.S. Case No. 42 of 2023.
