The petitioner has been in custody since 18.10.2017 in connection with Kotwa P.S. Case No. 161 of 2017 registered for the offences punishable under Section 392 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that originally he was not named in the First Information Report, but later on in the confessional statement made before the police by other persons, he has been roped in connection with the present case. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that he shall co-operate in the investigation and also in the trial as and when required.
