The petitioner is in custody in connection with Mahua P.S. Case No.116 of 2017, a case under Section 387/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 17 of the C.L.A. Act, pending in the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Vaishali at Hajipur. Allegation against the petitioner and others is of demand of ransom from the informant, who is staff of a Road Construction Company. The petitioner is accused in seven criminal cases of identical nature including cases under the Arms Act. Petitioner is in custody since 05.7.2017. Submission is that only on suspicion the petitioner has been named because in the first FIR the informant had not

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.9352 of 2018 (3) dt.27-03-2018 P2/ named any of the person who had seated on motorcycle. Considering the nature of allegation and the criminal antecedents of the petitioner, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Hence, the prayer for bail is refused.
