1. The present writ petition has been filed for directing the District Magistrate, Patna to dispose off the application filed by the petitioner for grant of arms license.

2. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner had filed an application for grant of arms license, before the District Magistrate, Patna, however, the same was rejected, whereupon the petitioner had challenged the order of rejection, before the appellate authority by filing an appeal bearing Arms Appeal No.247 of 2023, which has been allowed by the learned Divisional Commissioner, Patna Division, Patna and the matter has been remanded back to the

Patna High Court CWJC No.17365 of 2024(2) dt.26-11-2024 2/2 District Magistrate, Patna for fresh consideration of the application filed by the petitioner for grant of arms license, hence the District Magistrate, Patna be directed to take a final decision with regard to the same.

3. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Patna to consider the aforesaid case of the petitioner for grant of arms license, in accordance with law and pass a reasoned and a speaking order within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
