1. The limited prayer of the petitioner is to direct the District Magistrate, Patna, to dispose off the application sent by the petitioner by registered post on 24.08.2018, for grant of arms license.

2. Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondentState submits that in case the aforesaid application has been received and is still pending consideration, the same would definitely be disposed off, within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court.

3. Having regard to the facts and circumstances the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Patna, to dispose off the aforesaid application, in case the same

Patna High Court CWJC No.17000 of 2024(2) dt.12-11-2024 2/2 has been actually received by the respondents and is still pending consideration, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
