1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned APP for the State.

2. The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in Salmari P. S. Case No.102 of 2024 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 308(5) and 111(1) of the B.N.S.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a person with clean antecedent and the informant alleges that gangster Shankar Yadav called him on his mobile from mobile no.9910114969 and demanded ransom of Rs.50 Lacs and threatened to kill if ransom is not paid.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is not named in the FIR and is a person with clean antecedent and the order impugned does not record that as to what materials surfaced during the course of investigation to connect him with the offence. It is also submitted that a specific pleading has been made at Para-10 of the anticipatory bail application that petitioner has no concern with Shankar Yadav.

Learned A.P.P. vehemently opposes the anticipatory bail application and submits that the order impugned clearly records that during the course of investigation, it transpired that petitioner belongs to the gang of Shankar Yadav, who is involved in recovery ransom giving threat to businessman. It is further submitted that though at Para-10 of the anticipatory bail application, it has been baldly stated that petitioner does not know Shankar Yadav, but then, what the petitioner does for his living is not pleaded nor the background of the petitioner is pleaded in the anticipatory bail application. It is also submitted that investigation of the case is in its nascent stages and if privilege of anticipatory bail is granted, the petitioner may

6. Considering the submissions made by the learned A.P.P., the Court is not inclined to extend the privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

7. The prayer of the petitioner for anticipatory bail stands rejected.
