The petitioners had approached this Court earlier for a direction to the respondent / university to appoint him on regular basis as they were appointed by the Governing Body prior to its take-over. This Court had directed that the university in its wisdom should follow the law and start appointing persons on the basis of seniority.

Patna High Court CWJC No.21501 of 2019(2) dt.21-01-2020 2/3 It appears that for quite some time, the order of appointment / regularization was not issued and a Contempt Petition was filed by the petitioners which was disposed off on a statement having been made by the concerned university that names of 20 persons have been recommended for being appointed.

This Court has been informed that the name of the petitioner falls in the list of aforesaid 20 persons, whose names have been recommended for regular appointment, but still the petitioners are aggrieved because they have not been provided with the appointment letter and therefore they do not know as to from which date they have been appointed. Not providing of such information, even though especially asked for by the petitioners has resulted in the petitioners not knowing about their entitlement with respect to their salary and from which date.

This Court finds that after a letter was written by the petitioners to make them aware about the date of

Should the petitioners seek such information from the concerned authority, viz the Registrar of the university, the same shall be provided to them within a period of 30 days of such demand.

The writ petition stands disposed off.
