Earlier the prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected by this Court, vide order dated 10.1.2017 passed in Cr. Misc. No54757 of 2016 on merit.

Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that he is in custody for more than 1 1⁄2 years but now only one witness has been examined in this case.

Heard learned A.P.P. also.

Having heard both sides and in view of the facts and circumstances, as stated above, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, however, since the petitioner is in custody since long and the charge has already been framed in this case, the learned trial court is directed to conduct it on regular basis so that the trial may be concluded within the period as soon as possible.
