2 The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Samastipur (Mufassil) PS Case No 326 of 2022 dated 24.07.2022 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 457, 380, 411 of the Indian Penal Code.

3 The petitioner is not named in the First Information Report and during investigation, petitioner is arrested by police and his name surfaced from his confessional statement and on the basis of his confessional statement, several jewelleries were recovered from his possession. From perusal of the impugned order, it appears that the petitioner is in custody since

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.80254 of 2023(3) dt.29-02-2024 2/2 27.07.2022 that is more than one and half years. Petitioner has got no criminal antecedent, as stated in paragraph 3 of the bail petition.

4 In these circumstances, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. Accordingly, this bail petition is rejected.

5 However, learned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial within six months of receiving a copy of this order. 6 If the trial is not concluded within the aforesaid period of six months, the petitioner may renew the prayer for bail before the trial Court and the trial Court shall grant bail to the petitioner.
