Petitioners apprehend their arrest in connection with Siwan Town P.S. Case No.759 of 2021, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 419 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code.

The informant alleged that the petitioners have submitted an application before the Election Officer-cum-SubDivisional Officer, Siwan Sadar stating that they are illiterate and requested him to give permission to get assistance from one person, but all these petitioners are literate, which is found from their nomination letter.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.1693 of 2023(2) dt.08-02-2023 2/2 Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are innocent and have falsely been implicated in the instant case. It is submitted that the petitioners have got no criminal antecedent as stated in paragraph-3 of the bail petition. Taking into consideration the nature of offence and the fact that petitioners have got no criminal antecedent, let petitioners, above named, in the event of their arrest or surrender before the learned court below within a period of six weeks from today, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.25,000/- (rupees twenty five thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Siwan in connection with Siwan Town P.S.
