The petitioners seek pre-arrest bail in connection with Barachatti P.S. Case No. 84 of 2019 registered under Sections 8/18(C), 15 and 25 of N.D.P.S. Act, 1985.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the allegation that the petitioners were engaged in cultivating poppy

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.68670 of 2019(4) dt.05-03-2020 2/2 crop on a huge chunk of land of about 24 acres, I am not inclined to grant them pre-arrest bail. Their prayer for grant of pre-arrest bail is rejected.

In case the petitioners surrender and seek bail, the same shall be considered on its own merits without being prejudiced in any manner by this order.
