Petitioner, already in custody, seeks bail in connection with Town P.S. Case No.94 of 2017 registered under Sections 387/389 of the Indian Penal Code.

Allegation in brief is that two unknown persons came and handed over a slip to the informant written by one Raunak Singh making demand of extortion.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's name was disclosed by Raunak Singh who was apprehended by the police, except that there is no other material, the petitioner was not put on TIP for identification purpose as he is the person who handed over the letter to the informant, Raunak Singh has been granted bail by a co-ordinate Bench of

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.41287 of 2018(3) dt.11-07-2018 2/2 this Court vide order dated 23.02.2018 passed in Cr. Misc. No.10694 of 2018 and investigation has been completed. Having considered the aforesaid facts and circumstances, petitioner Rausan Thakur @ Rakesh Kumar is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned CJM, Darbhanga in connection with Town P.S. Case No.94 of 2017 with following conditions:

(1) One of the bailors must be the close family member of the petitioner.

(2) The petitioner shall remain physically present on each and every date before the trial court and if he absents himself on two consecutive dates without any reasonable cause, his bail bond shall liable to be cancelled.
