2. At the outset, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner seeks to make necessary correction in paragraph no. 8 of the writ petition, in course of the day.

3. Permission is accorded.

4. The petitioner in paragraph no. 1 of the present writ petition has sought inter alia following relief(s), which is reproduced hereinafter:

"1. That, this is an application for issuance of the appropriate writ/writs, order/orders or direction/directions to the respondents authorities to compassionate appointment of the

Patna High Court CWJC No.18530 of 2024(2) dt.05-12-2024 2/2 petitioner on the Post of the Chaukidar on the account of the death of his father during the period of his Service and grant the subsequent benefits for which petitioner is legally entitle."

5. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had appeared before the District Selection Committee, Rohtas on 18.10.1995 and produced all his documents for being appointed on the basis of compassionate appointment. However, his application is not being considered in spite of the fact that petitioner is facing destitute and financial crisis.

6. Considering the aforesaid submission made on behalf of the petitioner, the District Magistrate, Rohtas, is directed to call for the recommendation of the District Compassionate Committee, if held, subsequent to the application made on behalf of the petitioner, whose father had died on 27.11.1990 in harness, and take a conscious decision in the matter expeditiously, in accordance with law.

7. With aforesaid observations/directions, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
