This application for grant of regular bail arises out of Naubatpur P.S. Case No.181 of 2019 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 387, 506 and 120 of the Indian Penal Code.
There are four persons named in the First Information Report including this petitioner. Allegedly, they had been demanding extortion money from the informant using Whatsapp.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that co-accused Ashutosh Kumar has been allowed regular bail by this Court by order dated 20.01.2020 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 86867 of 2019. He has submitted that the mobile number, which was used for demanding extortion money is not registered in the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.77191 of 2019(8) dt.22-06-2020 2/2 petitioner's name. The petitioner is in custody since 06.05.2019. Considering the above submission and the fact that similarly circumstanced co-accused has been allowed regular bail, this application is allowed.
Let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned A.C.J.M.-II, Danapur, in Naubatpur P.S. Case No. 181 of 2019.
