The petitioner, already in custody, seeks bail in connection with Dagarua P.S. Case No. 101 of 2017 registered under Sections 147,149,341,323,307 and 448 of the IPC. Allegation against the petitioner is on account of some dowry dispute. The petitioner is father-in-law of the informant's daughter, came along with others to the house of the informant and said to have been assaulted her. There is specific allegation against the petitioner that he gave iron rod blow over her head. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is no FIR under the Dowry Prohibition Act and under Section 498 (A), rather is only allegation against the petitioner of assaulting the informant by iron rod, however, the injury report, shows that

Having considered the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the petitioner, namely, Jagdish Mandal, is directed to be released on bail upon furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned A.C.J.M. 2nd, Purnia, in connection with Dagarua P.S. Case No. 101 of 2017.
