2 The petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in connection with Makhdumpur PS Case No 368 of 2021 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 302, 201, 498A/34 of the Indian Penal Code and under Sections 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act lodged on 05.10.2021 by the informant Sheela Devi.

3 As per the prosecution case, the petitioner is the husband, the lady drowned and as per the supervision note, the information was given to the family members of the victim belatedly.

4 Learned APP opposes the prayer for anticipatory

5 In the opinion of this Court, the petitioner, having married the lady, responsibility lies with him. Further, despite the lodging of the FIR in the year 2021, the petitioner chose to move before the Court of competent jurisdiction only after a lapse of two years.

6 In that view of the matter, this anticipatory bail application stands rejected.
