The limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner in the present writ petition is to grant some protection to the petitioner during the interregnum period, inasmuch as the petitioner has filed an appeal against the order dated 13.09.2022, passed by the Circle Officer, Gaighat, Muzaffarpur whereby and whereunder the prayer of the petitioner for mutation of the land in question, in favour of the petitioner and his family members, in the revenue records, has been rejected.

Having regard to the limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, I deem it fit and proper to direct that status quo existing as on today qua the land/house of the petitioner in question shall be maintained, for a period of four weeks from today, in order to enable the petitioner to file appropriate petition for grant of interim relief in the pending appeal.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
