1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned APP for the State.

2. Petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Ahiyapur P.S. Case No. 251/2016 dated 30.03.2016 registered for the offence(s) punishable under section(s) 302 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code and section 27 of the Arms Act.

3. This is second attempt of the petitioner to get the relief of regular bail as his earlier bail prayer was rejected by this Bench vide order dated 24.08.2022 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 30712/2022 and he has been languishing in jail since 06.01.2022.

4. Heard both the sides. The status report regarding the trial of the petitioner's case sent by the court concerned is

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.78547 of 2023(4) dt.02-02-2024 2/2 perused and the same goes to show that the petitioner's case is running for argument so at this stage, it will not be proper to enlarge the petitioner on bail.
