1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1(i) For issuance of appropriate writ/ direction to the respondents concerned to issue necessary order granting an Arms License in the name of petitioner for holding a DBBL Gun No.92249 by way of transfer, as the Grandfather of the petitioner namely Sri Bachan Ojha son of late Shital Ojha is already a license holder of the said Gun bearing license No. 140 dated 30/03/1973. The grandfather of petitioner is more than 70 years old. Therefore, he has consented to transfer of the aforesaid DBBL Gun in the name of

Patna High Court CWJC No.16735 of 2023(4) dt.13-08-2024 2/2 petitioner for which petitioner has applied for grant of Arms License in the prescribed format, before the District Magistrate/Arms Magistrate, Rohtas, Sasaram but the matter is pending since 2015 despite proper verification and report of concerned Dinara Police Station dated 24/06/2016."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the respondents submits that the aforesaid application of the petitioner shall be proceeded and the final order shall be passed by the District Magistrate, Rohtas at Sasaram, within a period of four weeks from today. It is directed accordingly.

3. The writ petition stands disposed off.
