ANJANA MISHRA ORAL ORDER 19-07-2018 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.

The petitioner is in custody since 28.02.2018 in connection with Majhagarh P.S. Case No. 255 of 2017 for the offence registered under Sections 376, 406, 420 and 366A of the Indian Penal Code.

Admittedly, the girl, who is minor, was firstly kidnapped and thereafter, on false pretext, she was taken away to Ludhiana and kept there on assurance that he would marry her but when the victim girl became pregnant, the petitioner deserted her and refused to marry. The victim girl in her statement under Section 164 Cr.P.C. has confirmed the prosecution story. As such, I am not inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner. It is

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.42536 of 2018 (2) dt.19-07-2018 accordingly, rejected.

However, petitioner will be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail after framing of charge.
