The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Sonpur (Pahleja Ghat O.P.) P.S. Case No.112 of 2022, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 414 and 401 of the Indian Penal Code.
The informant, who is a Police Sub-Inspector got secret information that petitioner and other co-accused persons are making plan to commit dacoity and theft in jewellery and clothes shops. It is also alleged that when the informant gave signal to stop the Scorpio vehicle, the petitioner fled away from the place of occurrence after leaving his vehicle. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the

It is submitted that the petitioner has got three criminal antecedents as stated in paragraph-3 of the bail petition. It is further submitted that the petitioner is made accused in the present case on the basis of secret information. It is also submitted that the Scorpio vehicle does not belong to the petitioner. No incriminating articles has been recovered from the conscious possession of the petitioner.
Learned APP for the State opposed the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner by submitting that the police recovered vehicle lock cutting machine, torch and two knives from the said Scorpio vehicle.
Taking into consideration the nature of offence, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner is hereby rejected.
