JUSTICE RAJEEV RANJAN PRASAD ORAL ORDER 29-01-2020 Petitioner in this case has moved this Court seeking a direction to the respondents to arrest the accused persons in connection with Mahila P.S. Case No.26 of 2019 as also to complete the investigation and submit a final report in the court below.

It is the case of the petitioner that the FIR was lodged as back as on 16.05.2019 alleging that the accused had committed rape upon the daughter of the petitioner. The investigation of the case is still pending and according to the petitioner the investigation is not taking place in a proper way and the petitioner has raised doubt over a fair investigation by

Patna High Court CR. WJC No.1764 of 2019(2) dt.29-01-2020 2/2 the respondents.

Taking note of the grievance of the petitioner, but without going into the merit of the contentions at this stage, this Court directs the Superintendent of Police, Muzaffarpur (respondent no.3) to look into the grievance of the petitioner whose daughter is the victim of the crime and take appropriate steps to ensure fair investigation in the matter and submission of a police final report at the earliest opportunity. The respondent no.3 shall issue necessary directions in this regard within a period of thirty days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
