2. The present writ petition has been filed "for a direction to the respondents to protect the life and property of the
Patna High Court CR. WJC No.1570 of 2019 dt.19-11-2019 2/3 petitioner by taking appropriate action against the private respondents."
3. It is stated that the petitioner purchased the plot nos. 606 and 607, khata no. 93, thana no. 41 measuring about 1.76 acres situated in Mauza Lakhnibigha Danapur from Late Ram Chandra Singh Dangi. His dispute with the private respondent nos. 11 and 12 was finally settled when his appeal before the Divisional Commissioner, Patna was allowed in terms of order dated 3.5.2019/8.6.2019 holding that the land was his private property. As purchaser of the said land, the petitioner started constructing the boundary wall over the land which was obstructed by the private respondents who demanded ransom and threatened him with dire consequences.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that apprehending threat to his life and property, he approached the higher authorities with appropriate representations. Pursuant to one such representation, the Additional Secretary, Home Department (Special Branch) directed the District Magistrate, Patna and the Senior Superintendent of Police, Patna by letter dated 30.09.2019 (Annexure-4) to look into the matter despite which the petitioner continues to carry apprehension in his day-to-day life.
5. Having regard to the nature of the grievance of the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of with the observation that the District Magistrate and Sr. Superintendent of Police, Patna shall
