1. Heard the parties through Video Conferencing.
2. The petitioner by way of this writ petition assails the Advertisement issued by the respondents for recruitment on the post of teaching and non-teaching staff in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.
3. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner wants to apply for the post of Trained Graduate Teacher in terms of the notice notified as per the Advertisement. However, the Application Form is not being accepted. He submits that he has done an integrated course of B.A./ B.Ed and, therefore, he has to

A pointed query was made to the petitioner, as to which post of Trained Graduate Teacher (T.G.T.) the petitioner seeks to apply and he submits that he want to apply for the post of Trained Graduate Teacher, Social Studies (S.S.T.). Whereupon learned counsel was asked to show whether the petitioner has done studies in any of the two subjects, mentioned as minimum requirement for applying for Trained Graduate Teacher/SST namely History, Geography, Economics and Political Science, of which one must be either History or Geography.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that while he has not studied specifically in any particular subject mentioned in the Advertisement, but the subjects which he had studied in the integrated course of B.A./B.Ed would include subject of Political Science. However, this Court finds that the requirement of the Advertisement mentions a candidates should be at least having one subject of History or Geography, out of the four subjects as the petitioner does not have either History or Geography as a subject nor he has any subject by the name of Political Science, this Court does not deem it appropriate to

6. In the circumstances, the petitioner cannot be said to be held eligible for the purpose of appointment as Trained Graduate Teacher (Political Science).
7. The writ petition is mis-conceived and is accordingly dismissed.
