Petitioners apprehend their arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 498A/506/379/34 of the Indian Penal Code read with section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act .

Petitioners happen to be in-laws of the victim Richa Kumari. They are separate in mess and business and have no concern with the affairs of the victim and her husband. Thrust of allegation is against her husband who is already in custody.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.1768 of 2023(2) dt.27-03-2023 2/2 Learned counsel appearing for the State as well as the informant oppose the prayer for bail.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, in the event of arrest or surrender within six weeks from today, let the petitioners, as named above, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Jehanabad in Jehanabad Mahila Police Station Case No. 19/2022, subject to the conditions laid down under section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
